Picking Your Pathways - Update

Picking Your Pathways

ARC (Association for Real Change) and ILA (Independent Living Alternatives) have held 6 consultations attended by P.A.s and P.A. users across England through a project funded by Skills for Care New Types of Worker National Fund.

The aim of the project, 'Picking your Pathways' was to consult with P.A.s and P.A. users to identify good training currently available for P.A.s, training that is used because that is all that is available but really not a good fit for and training needs where there is no current training available. In addition 127 in-depth questionnaires were completed.

Reports have been produced form the 6 consultations and these and the questionnaires are being used to produce a training matrix.

A final report will be produced for Skills for Care on the gaps in training for P.A.s with a suggested structure of training which will attract funding.
